Issue Importing RIS File into Zotero - Missing Information

Hi everyone!

I am importing an RIS file, which is exported from Web of Science, into Zotero. However, it seems that Zotero cannot read much information from the RIS file, such as the author information, journal name, volume, page, DOI, etc. I have tried downloading and installing Zotero again on my MacBook, but it still does not work. Moreover, I have tried to import this RIS file into other Windows laptops or MacBooks, and it works fine there. I really cannot figure it out. Please help me with this issue. Thank you so much!

It is in principle much better to add references directly from the browswer https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero

Nevertheless, importing a RIS file should work. You might have a translator problem on your current machine https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

What @aborel says, but for fixing file imports in general, I would skip straight to resetting translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders section of the Zotero settings.

Thanks for the advice, but I need to systematically import lots of references from the web of science, so I need to import a ris file.

OK, then check your translators, that's probably the origin of the problem.
