Syncing between computer and web library failed

Hi.
Newbie here.
There is a difference in the number of records between my pc library and my web library.
I have set up the syncing procedure, trouble is that 60 records are missing from the web library. We are talking of a little less than 10,000 records.
The "Sinc automatically" item is flagged, and the small syning symbol on the upper right corner of the pc library is always turning (actually it never stops).
This is going on since a few days.
Whay am I doing wrong?
  • Restart Zotero and try syncing again. If it still hangs, we'd want to see a Debug ID for Zotero startup through a few minutes of the spinning, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option.
  • Thank you dstillman.
    I followed your tip.
    Debug ID is: D703453360 .
  • That shows an ongoing sync. You moved a huge number of items to the trash — I'd guess from repeated imports that you then deleted — that need to propagate.
  • Ok. So you think I just have to wait for the completion of the sync.
It is taking several days though! Doesn't syncing goes ahead also when I close the desktop app?
The trash in the desktop app is empty, while that in the web library contains almost 20,000 items! I tried to delete manually the trash in the web library, but there seems to be no way to do it.
  • Doesn't syncing goes ahead also when I close the desktop app?
No, Zotero has to be open for it to sync.
  • Solved.
The problem was due to conflicting versions of thousands of items that resulted changed between devices. Once accepted the resolution, syncing went on smoothly.
Also, I left Zotero open until the end of syncing.
    Thank you.
