Hi! I'm editing a paper I wrote which has vancouver style citations (numbered). I want to remove a few citations but whenever I do so, the reference list does not reflect the change as in the numbers are not updated (e.g: if i remove citation 2, the reference 2 in the reference list does not get removed and reference 3 does not become reference 2). Even in the text, the next citation does not automatically assume the number of the citation deleted. Would appreciate any help! thanks.
