Problem with automatic attachments
I feel like I must be doing something wrong, because I've searched the forums and it doesn't appear that this has been a problem for anyone else. I've got "Automatically attach associated PDFs" checked in the preferences. I tried saving some articles from JSTOR, and they saved with no attachments. When I tried saving an article from Nature.com the PDF was saved, but in my library it shows up as a web snapshot.
So am I doing something wrong, or is it broken? (On Mac OS X 10.4.10 with FF 2.0.0.4 and Zotero 1.0.0rc3.)

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
If you import the bibliographic info by clicking the 'article' icon in the URL bar, it downloads the PDF as a child of the parent record. At least, it should.
Is there a list of which translators support downloading of associated PDFs? I'd like to try this with more sites, but the full list of translators doesn't say anything about PDFs.
1. Automatic import of single records from the site
2. Lists of records
3. User-collected lists (on some otherwise supported sites, Zotero won't import from the "my collection" page...the place where you are able to collect the records you've tagged in a single place--this would be a very useful addition.)
4. Links to associated resources
5. associated PDFs
6. ?
Others could probably augment this list, so that the most useful gradations of support could be easily visible, without making it hopelessly complex. It would help people know what to expect, and perhaps help developers and other interested parties see the places where work needs to be done.
Of course this doesn't help you, since JSTOR really is supposed to work. One thing you might check, that the Mac in question is set up with proper permissions (university proxy or otherwise) to actually access those PDFs, since JSTOR is a subscription site after all. If you can download them manually, Zotero should be able to do the same. If you can't, I'm personally at a loss.
Perhaps another Mac user with JSTOR access can confirm or deny the issue.
