Failed import of Better bibtex in Firefox 127.0.2

Hello,
I tried to add the Better bibtex extension to Zotero. I understand that I have to do it via Firefox? I tried, but the extension would not get installed. I get an error message that the installation did not go through because the file seem corrupted.
I am on Mac OS and using Firefox 127.0.2
Can you help, or should I try the better bibtex forum?
Thanks!
Cecile

Read the first line on https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/installation/

You seem to have misread it. It's not saying you need to use Firefox. It's saying you have to do it differently if you are using Firefox.

No you don't have to do it via Firefox. But if you are using Firefox, you have to save the XPI file a different way. From https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/installation/:
if you use Firefox, make sure to right-click and save the XPI file, not just clicking it
Then just follow the steps described in the linked page
  • Thank you, I did save the XPI file, but it would not get installed as an extension.

But I actually would like to install it locally on my computer, I did not find the link to do that... Thanks :)

It really is explained precisely on the linked page. If there's a specific line you're not understanding, you should quote it and explain what you don't understand.
  • Never mind, I should learn how to read!!!
Sorry for disturbing you, and thank you for taking the time to answer!
