Classic view when inserting citation to note
The "Insert Citation" button that is located in the toolbar of the notes editor launches the red bar dialog as expected. But:
1. Clicking on the Z doesn't switch to classic view.
2. The "Use classic Add Citation dialog" setting is ignored.
Maybe this is intended but in any case it's very confusing because the documented behavior for Docs, Word, etc. contradicts the above. I believe that it would be nicer if it worked the same in every situation.

bwiernikedited February 20, 2024I’m not a developer, but I would expect the Classic interface to be removed at some point now that the default interface can insert items that are selected or open in the Zotero app. I’d recommend switching back to the default interface.

joycekwcJust in case anyone else also comes across this and is wondering how the default interface can insert items, it's in Zotero 7: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/454090#Comment_454090
