where is the "file" when it says "go to file" for importing Mendeley

I am trying to import from Mendeley and the instructions look simple, but it says "go to file" and I have looked everywhere and I don't see where that is. Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Can you provide a screenshot? The default Mendeley importer imports from your online Mendeley library.

Thanks for your answer, but I could not find that. I looked at all the little icons I could locate, and none of them seemed to be file. I’m wondering if somehow I’ve downloaded something but it isn’t the desktop version?

I downloaded it and I have the plug-in for word and I have the connection with edge so I thought I had done everything because it seems like it’s working. It’s just I can’t seem to find that menu.

It’s the File menu that appears in any app with a menu bar. Can you take a screenshot of what you’re looking at?

That’s your web library on this site. All documentation is referring to the actual desktop app that you download and install on your computer.

OK, I have found it now -- thanks very much for your help. I had looked there but at the time, I had not realized I had to look at the top of the Mac where it say file rather than looking for the type of menu I usually see in apps. I am relatively new to Apple computers.
