References list not showing DOIs

I'm using the BMJ Open citation style. Each citation within Zotero has a DOI listed in the correct field (imported directly from PubMed). How can I ensure that each journal article listed in the references section has a DOI attached to it?

Thank you!

  • Apparently the BMJ Open style is not intended to display a DOI - at least as defined in the Zotero style repository; if it's incorrect, feel free to say so.

You can switch to a different numeric style that uses DOIs in the bibliography (for your control, returning later to the BMJ Open style if that's your final goal, or permanently if BMJ Open is just an inspiration and not your actual target).

Please try provide the guidelines and an example paper as we can look into issues faster that way. (OP or people helping)
The guidlines do show he DOI and our style had something in the style to show it, but it was a bit odd and it didn't get printed.

I've just submitted a fix for that. Can you give this a test ride?

  • Thanks all! Sorry about that. I will try it out and report back :)
  • Fixed! Thank you so much @aborel and @damnation for your help!
