Problems Importing nbib file

I am trying to important an nbib file into Zotero on my Mac. Here is the error report number: 812924407.

I downloaded the nbib file from Pubmed. I followed the import steps, I selected the file to import and it let me get to the point where it was importing the references and then gave me the error "An error occurred importing the selected file with "MEDLINE/nbib". Please ensure that the file is valid and try again".
  • does this happen with any nbib file exported from Pubmed or only a specific one?

    @dstillman -- what's the error message?
  • [JavaScript Error: "Error(s) encountered during statement execution: FOREIGN KEY constraint failed [QUERY: INSERT OR REPLACE INTO itemTags (itemID, tagID, type) VALUES (?, ?, ?)] [PARAMS: 56204, 17287, 0] [ERROR: FOREIGN KEY constraint failed]" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/db.js" line: 680}]
@Mariel.emrich: Check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences.

If it passes, can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for an import that fails?
  • Hi,

I have the same issue, and reported the bug.
    But is there any solution?

Intermittently this happens to me -- I have a daily process to import a 100-120 item nbib file.

Download the file again and almost certainly the newly downloaded file will import without a problem.
  • I did check the integrity. It says no error found.

By the way, how can I send you the file that has error for me?
I am using the Linux version though.

    Thank you for quick reply!

    Best Regards
  • Again, see the request above:

(the instructions for creating Debug IDs are linked).

You can post the file anywhere you want for download or if absolutely necessary email to support@zotero.org, but I think chances are quite good this isn't a replicable issue and the debug ID is going to be more helpful (and possibly sufficient).
