[Feature request] Add a shortcut about back button.

I hope add a mouse shortcut about back button, in other words, can act as other pdf reader like sumatra that can back to the previous page after pressing a citation or bookmark. When you are reading a paper and meet a citation or formula you intersting in, you click the citaion and download it. Then, you need move your mouse to "back button" and click it, or put your hand on keyboard in order to input "alt + left". It could be more simple just clicking you mouse4/5 rather than doing serval actions. Many thanks.
  • You’re saying you want the back button on your mouse to trigger the Back action in the PDF reader?
  • @dstillman yes, sorry about my bad English.
  • This is planned.
  • Any idea of the timeline?

For anyone who finds this from search, related issue on github: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/3436
  • Looking forward to this feature
  • +1 for this feature, will make checking the citations so much easier. Currently, I have to either move my mouse to the back button (which doesn't sound much but it changes my focus) or move my hand to keyboard to press alt+left. Will be a really helpful feature, looking forward to it.

Most other programs (Firefox, SumatraPDF, etc.) running on Windows support the back and forward buttons on mouse, and many users (like me) get used to use these buttons when reading. Each time I naturally use the button after clicking/following a citation link, I find it won't work, and I must use Alt + Left on my keyboard, or scrolling to the previous position... This IS a distraction/interrupt that changes the focus of the reader. Please add support to the navigation buttons ASAP, thanks a lot!
