Large PDF files load very slowly, especially during fast scrolling and page flipping. However, third-party PDF readers can smoothly display them without lag, black screens, or slow loading. Please address and resolve this issue. Thank you.

zy2837The large PDF files I refer to are those with a file size exceeding 100MB and containing more than 300 pages.

dstillmanYou should see about the same performance as when opening the PDF in Firefox, since Zotero's PDF reader is based on the Mozilla PDF library. It's not going to match Preview in performance.

zy2837Well, these are just minor issues. It would be great if performance could be optimized in the future. However, if it's indeed limited by inherent issues with the Firefox browser engine, I can completely understand. I also appreciate the efforts made by the development team.
