Smooth zoom with Trackpad on the PDF viewer on Mac

The zoom on the PDF viewer is glitchy. If one zooms on a PDF opened on Preview using the pinch gesture on the trackpad (I'm on Mac), the zooming in/out is very smooth.

I recall hearing that this is an issue with the underlying pdf.js engine Zotero is using?

    Hi, I was wondering if there were any updates on the smoothness of pinch to zoom on the Zotero 7 PDF viewer on Mac ? I haven't been able to try the beta myself (too afraid to mess up my database until it is stable). Thanks

    Yes, smooth zoom is significantly improved in Zotero 7 beta.

    That's great. Hope it comes out soon.

    Actually, it's still not as smooth as Preview. There are always some steps as you scroll with a mouse wheel but smaller. It's still annoying that there is a dead zone in the beginning of the trackpad movement.

    Perhaps this is something that can be fixed if brought up to the developers ?
