Unable to select text after highlighting it

When I highlight a paragraph of text, I want to select one of the words for translation and other operations. I can only select this comment and then operate on it, not the text content of the document

    You can hold down Shift Alt/Option to select text within a highlight.

    In translate for zoteroļ¼Œthe shortcut key for the function of concatenation translation is alt.After I've translated some words, pressing alt will triggers the splice translation function.
