Upgrade StorageBug Report - Hyperlink Clicks Result in Multiple Unwanted Windows in Latest Beta
Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a hyperlink such as zotero://select/items/@sachdevaHowTrainDataEfficient2024.
2. The anticipated behavior is for the system to navigate to the corresponding item within the existing window. This functionality was previously available in earlier beta versions, prior to beta 72. However, in the latest beta version, selecting the hyperlink results in the creation of a new window. This not only consumes significant memory but also leads to confusion due to the excessive number of open windows.

- What is your Operating System?
- How do you generate that link?
- How do you select the link?
- Where is the link located when you select it (Zotero note in the side pane, Zotero note in a separate window, external app, ...)?
- Can you share a screenshot of what you observe?
2. My operating system is macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 (latest version), I can observe the same result on both intel and M1 macbooks (I have two macbooks).
3. zotero://select/items/@{CitationKey} is a zotero item link. For example, if the citationkey of paper is rombachHighResolutionImageSynthesis2022. Then its item link is zotero://select/items/@rombachHighResolutionImageSynthesis2022
4. By input this link as url into browser, it will pop out "A website wants to open this application". Then if everything goes well, zotero will pop out and select the corresponding item.

Here is expected behavior (tested in 6.0.37)

Zotero's main window pops out and the corresponding item is selected.
In Zotero-7.0.0-beta.73+398454f85, it creates a duplicate of main window and select nothing.

I also have this problem.
(@K.Nick: Note that
zotero://select/items/@sachdevaHowTrainDataEfficient2024is not a supported Zotero URL format. Selecting based on citekey would only work because of BBT.)
