Cue-Cat
In 2.0b7.4, when I try to use a cue-cat to enter an ISBN via the "Add Item by Identifier" button, I just get the garbled, untranslated output of the cuecat ( such as .C3nZC3nZC3nXCNnXChjYCxnX.cGen.ENr7C3b0DNrZChDZEG.), instead of the ISBN.
http://www.zotero.org/support/getting_stuff_into_your_library#add_item_by_identifier
implies that the cuecat is supported by Zotero. Is this the case? If so, how do I get it to work with Zotero?

dstillman Zotero TeamZotero certainly doesn't support such devices. The "Add Item by Identifier" window just has a text box. If you can get the scanner to function properly, you can use it there.

adamsmithcan we take out the bit about the barcode scanner in the documentation? That seems unnecessarily confusing-

dstillman Zotero TeamSure—I didn't put it there. It's presumably handy if it works, but people who own such scanners and have them working as standard character input devices (i.e., equivalent to a keyboard) probably know when to use them.
