I reset the library, and all my files disappeared

    While trying to sync on my new computer, I reset the library, and all my files disappeared. How can I restore and recover my files?

    What do you mean by “I reset the library”? Do you mean that you used "Replace Online Library" from an empty library? You deleted all the data in your library manually?

    Either way, your only way to recover would be to restore from a backup of your database, such as from one of the automatic backups that Zotero makes in your data directory.

    (To be clear, to set up a new computer, all you have to do is enter your username and password and sync.)

    Yeah,
    I chose ‘Replace online Library’. I thought it would replace the library in my new pc with the one in the old. It rather did the reverse.

    So, what would be the procedure to back up from the automatic backups? Follow the same procedure on my old pc?
