how to use zotero with jupyter lab citation manager

Can anyone explain how to add citations from a bibtex file (already imported in zotero and synchronized with the web library) with the jupyter-lab citation manager (already linked with zotero via APP key). The buttons for adding citations are greyed out and non responsive.

    That's developed by jupyter lab, you'll want to ask them -- I don't think anyone has ever even posted about this here.
