Prevent a collection from synchronising with the cloud

Hi,

so, I upgraded my Zotero Storage a while ago, but it's almost full now. I have one collection which belongs to a paper I've already submitted. So, I don't use or change that collection anymore and wondered if I can free some storage on the cloud by only saving this collection on my local laptop storage and stop synchronising it with the cloud. Is it possible to do that for just one collection and not the entire library?

Greetings,
Kristina
  • Are you aware that your storage limit is only related to the files that are attached to your Zotero item records? The metadata (including tags and notes -without images) for the items in your library and collections is stored for free.

The storage quota only concerns syncing attachment files to Zotero.org (just syncing item metadata is always unlimited).
  • @Tinamisuu: No, the point of syncing is to make your library available on all devices, so anything you add gets uploaded as long as you're syncing. You can configure Zotero not to download all files on a given computer in your file-sync settings, but they'll always be uploaded.

(Something like this would also be very confusing, since items can exist in multiple collections.)
