Alternative to drag and drop?

Is it possible to add a pdf without opening a file manager and dragging and dropping? Why not have a menu option to directly add a file like in Mendeley?
This rarely works in linux, and doesn't seem like it would be hard to add.

    In Zotero 6, it's New Item (+) toolbar button → "Store Copy of File…".

    In the Zotero 7 beta, it's Add Attachment toolbar button → "Add File…" or the same in the File menu.
