Zotero not working on Mac M1

Hey guys,

I'm a long-time user of Zotero, and I've never had any problems using it, regardless of the operating system (Windows, Linux, or MacOS). However, I recently used Zotero with the MS Word plugin to write a manuscript with approximately 100 pages and 100 bibliographic references. After finishing writing, I tried to insert the bibliographic references; however, both Zotero and Word crashed. I restarted Word, Zotero, and even the computer. Even so, the problem continued. I tried reinstalling the Word plugin, but the problem was not resolved.

When accessing the activity monitor, I noticed that Zotero is classified as an "intel" type program. Therefore, I suspected the problem could be the lack of optimization of the Zotero app for Apple chips.

So, I opened the same document on an old Windows laptop and tried adding the bibliographic references. It worked perfectly!

Have you ever noticed something similar? Is there any initiative to generate an app optimized for Apple chips (m1, m2, m3)?

Thanks.
