in text citation, how to automatically add date?

Hi there, using APA 7th, when I copy/add citation into my paper only the name et al. is copied, how to I get it to also include the year of publication? It is annoying to have to check the date each time.

You should be using the word plugin. See: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage

If you are just seeing the name and not n.d., you are not using APA style. How exactly are you copying?; And are you sure you don't want to use the Word add on?
