Saving from eLife does not download PDF

Trying to save a paper from eLife (for example, https://elifesciences.org/articles/89828), saves only the item to the Zotero library, but does not download the PDF.

This journal is open-access, so there are no restrictions.

Should be fixed — thanks for reporting. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can update manually by clicking Update Translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Connector preferences.
  • Now after eLife changed their publication model Zotero saves the pdf of the first submission (preprint) instead of the peer reviewed publication.
    How to fix?
  • @malszycki: Please provide an example URL.
  • This one: https://elifesciences.org/articles/99116v1

Extension gives error: An error occurred saving with eLife. Attempting to save using Embedded Metadata instead.

And then it saves the initial submission (preprint)
  • Fixed. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update translators manually from the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings.
  • Wow! Awesome! Thanks
