Hi Zotero forum,
thanks for providing Zotero. I have this question: how can I open pdf by clicking on the citation? I like to stay in Word while reading cited literature.

    I am trying again. How can I open a pdf by clicking on its citation? I can see the "Open in My Library" button but clicking it nothing happen. Perhaps it is not possible to read pdf without leaving Word or the pdf has to have some notes added to be opened? Easy access to content of articles cited would save time comparing own with previous findings because have to go back and forth between articles and own text during this writing and later editing to find and check content cited.

    how can I stay in Word and read pdfs of the in-text citations I like to check for the information I am citing? That is, for any citation I like to read, open the pdf with the fewest possible clicks, without leaving Word.

    The "Show in Library" button (which is what it's called now) should open your Zotero library with the item selected -- try that again, and if it doesn't work provide a debug ID for clicking it:

    This doesn't let you read right in Word (I imagine you're thinking of a sort of pop-up?) and I doubt that's going to happen, but Zotero devs might consider if they can build a faster way to get from citation to Zotero entry/attachment.
