HELP! Zotero Word Plugin crashed and deleted my document!

After using Zotero Word Plugin successfully for months, I tried putting a new citation into an unsaved document, and it crashed the program. I tried looking for the autorecovery file but it's gone; did Zotero delete the file? If so, can I get it back? It's several days of work down the drain!

    Zotero doesn't have anything to do with saving the document, and a Word crash is a Word bug that Microsoft would have to fix, even if it's triggered by a Zotero plugin action. I would expect Word to be auto-saving your documents (though maybe only for Microsoft 365 subscribers?), but that's not something we have anything to do with. Word or your computer could crash at any time, so you obviously want to make sure that things were being saved regularly one way or another.
