Zotero Google Docs plug-in stopped working

I am working with Zotero in Google docs and Nature style citation (i.e., only numbers). It has been extremely problematic with the constant unlinking, but I am afraid I may have just lost all my citations (sorry for the tone, but it is very frustrating)

The doc froze while adding a citation and I had to force it shut. Now, the Zotero plug-in does not connect, any Zotero function that I click just opens a menu to add hyperlinks from the document as well as within my Google Drive but does not communicate with Zotero at all. Has this happened to anyone? If so, how can I re-connect Zotero? Is there any hope for all the citations?

Yes, this is exactly what has just happened to me too. If I discover how to resolve it I'll report back, but I don't have an answer yet.

Here for the same reason. I also tried this on several machines thinking it may be my main computer, but the same issue is happening. I suspect Zotero is not communicating with Google properly. All of my citations are performing in a similar manner as PMoreno92.

I'm having the same issue as well. There's a similar post from 2021 by Mmanierre but that didn't seem to have a clear solution. For now though you can probably just generate the citations in the app and copy and paste them into the document. Not the best though.
