Finding highlighted text with specific tags

Hi there,

I was wondering if it was possible to find my highlights based on the tags that I have assigned to them.
To give some context to this, I use an excel sheet to keep track of specific statements that I want to use in my paper and assign each statement a tag "A0001" or "A0002" etc.
Because multiple papers should back up my statement, I use the tag in different papers to bolster the argument.
So there will be multiple highlighted sections across different papers (in the same library), that have the same tag.
What I want to know is if I can get these highlighted sections summed up somewhere in a note, preferably with the paper they came from noted at the end of each highlighted item.

Cheers,
Vincent

In the current Zotero beta, you can filter attachments by annotation tags from the tag selector in the library view and generate a single note for all of those attachments' annotations, grouped by item. This will be available in Zotero 6.0.14 or 6.0.15.

In a future version, you'll be able to filter for individual tagged annotations and generate a note from those, but for now you can only filter annotations for a single PDF at a time from the PDF reader sidebar.
  • Are there any updates on the original inquiry? Finding highlighted text with specific tags across PDFs would be very powerful.
  • Yes, same inquiry. It would be really useful if Zotero could let us find the specific highlighted annotations with tags.
  • I would appreciate having this feature added. While learning about Obsidian, it occurred to me to question whether Zotero possesses this functionality.
  • Is there any update about the tagged highlight? I just updated zotero to the latest version, but I still couldn't find it. Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks.
