New computer - Zotero opening pdf's in Adobe instead of internal PDF reader

Just moved computer. Zotero is opening my pdf's in Adobe instead of the imbedded Zotero PDF reader that I far prefer (so I can see my annotations etc.)

When I go to preferences, it says 'open PDF's using system default' and I can't find another option to change it to the one I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    That option should say "Zotero" not "System default" -- are you saying you aren't able to change it to Zotero?

    Yes I can't change it. My options are system default or custom - I can click custom but there is nothing appropriate to select. It may be an older version on this computer

    Version would matter -- which version are you using? Check under Help --> About

    That' version is years old and precedes the PDF viewer. You want to update to at least the current stable version (6.0.30) and figure out why you ended up with such an old version on a new computer (?!).
