Does Zotero has a way to mark articles within a folder ??? If not this is my suggestion.

I have used EndNote previously and now moved to Zotero. Snce I felt Zotero is more easy to use. This is my suggestion to improve Zotero.

It would be fantastic if Zotero could include a column where I could mark articles that I have finished reading or indicate how important they are. As an example,

1. Provide a flag system with various colors.
2. Rate each article from 1 to 5 stars according to how significant it is to me. (A method for assigning varying degrees of importance to any article)
3. Or a method to use distinct colors for the entire title

( I'm talking about sorting articles within a folder, when I have many articles. I do not like make so many folders and sub folders)

You can do this with emoji that appear next to the item in the main pane. For example using the star ⭐️ or number emojis.

Use the tag function located at the bottom left section and the item pane. Name it as "read". You can also right click on the tag name at bottom left section, assign a color and hotkey to it.

My tags include: marked, read, outstanding, and trash ;-)
