Citing IPCC, 2023: Climate Change 2023

Hello there and sorry if it has been answered yet and I was unable to find it, but:

I'd like to cite the IPPC in the manner described here (https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/syr/resources/how-to-cite-this-report)

and I already spent an hour to try to import it into Zotero somehow to look like that. I failed. Miserably. So if anyone could throw me a BibTex or RIS file I'd be super happy, thanks....
  • As in you want the citation to look exactly like this or you want the relevant elements included?
  • Well, I honestly don't know where the difference is... the relevant element "Climate Change 2023: Synthesis Report." I'd like to have in Italics, the IPCC should show up as author, the year NOT in parenthesis as per APA, but not double as well when I add it in the Surname of the author field etc...

    In short: I have absolutetly NO CLUE how anyone on this earth is able to get this citation to look like they want it on their homepage...
  • I think that's a misunderstanding of what recommended citations are for. You don't need your citation to look exactly like this, and depending on the citation style you are otherwise using, that's literally impossible. You want to make sure the relevant info - IPCC, year, title, editors and DOI are there and those should be formatted in the style you are using (so if you otherwise use APA, you definitely do want the year in parentheses. The whole point of a citation style is uniformity: sources don't get to prescribe the formatting of citations
  • Thanks for the answer, but... I don't know which part is which following APA 7 rules... so I don't KNOW if something should be in parenthesis or not. When I added the IPCC from their homepage I got like all of the authors loaded and as such not a quotation that looks anything like that... so my supervisor said to get it in APA style,

    so, how to get that?

    IPCC as author, Core Writing Team, H. Lee and J. Romero as editors, 2023 as date, everything else should be pretty self-explanatory. I find the page range weird and would probably just leave it out
