after some uses of Zotero, and entering sources and citations in the word doc. I get this message which imake me close bothe zotero and word in order to continue. and still it doesnt help,,,

    Are you able to insert citations in a new, empty document? If so, see Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents for the existing document.
