Change of computer - storage of files
Hi!
I am buying a new computer and would like the Zotero app on my new iMac. I have all the PDF files stored in my Macbook Air, but I will no longer use this computer. I understand that I can access my files everywhere with my online library, but those files are stored in my MacBook Air, and I would like to have them on my new computer. The computer app has better functions also. However, I am not sure how I do this, and I am afraid of losing my PDF and library content (for which I have worked very hard). So is the procedure 1) downloading the app and 2) importing my library? Or do I have to make a special action for the synchronization of the PDF and Word documents? How can I guarantee that I will not lose files and data in the process?
Thank you!

I have used the migration assistant. Now I have moved all my files to my new computer. I did it from a MacBook Air to a iMac.
I am a little confuse about what should I do once it is transferred. Should I just open now the Zotero in my new iMac, and then delete the data from my older one?
Thank you!
