Elsevier Electronic Manuscript Submission System

Please forgive me if it is already available, but I cannot find a style for the "Elsevier Electronic Manuscript Submission System". Note that the journal article title is not in italics, it is abbreviated, and does NOT have a period after each word in the title (even though it is abbreviated). This differs from "Elsevier (with titles)" in the Style Repository. Is there any such style (I've spent ages searching the repository)? If not, can it be created? Thank you very much.

    This looks very similar to the AMA style, so start from that.
  • Thanks Adam. When I drag the modified csl file onto a Firefox page, the text appears - but where do I click Install (I'm using Zotero version 2)?
  • Adam, Sorry - Notepad had saved filename.csl.txt - problem solved.
  • Sorry to post again.
    In the AMA style, I replaced the line
    <text variable="container-title" font-style="italic" form="short" suffix="."/>
    with the line
    <text variable="container-title" form="short"/>
    but I still get periods, for example, "N. Engl. J. Med 1979".
    I get my journal references from PubMed.
    Does this mean there is no way to get rid of the periods at present?
  • correct. that's what the above link to journal abbreviation says, too.
