Can't add or edit citations in Google docs

After restarting Google docs and Zotero, I still can't place citations on the document. Either it's hanging, or getting a message of "The document citations are being edited by another Zotero user. Please try again later" which I know I am the only user. I am overriding the lock but sometimes it is still stuck or shows the message "Zotero experienced an error updating your document.". There is no problem with the internet when I checked. When I followed the troubling shooting guidelines to change the style of the bibliography, it is prompting "The Google account you selected does not have permission to edit this document. Please try again, and be sure to choose the account with editing access." but I am using the same Google account. Please help!
  • Restart your browser and Zotero. Open a new Google document. You might get prompted to select a google account, make sure it's the account that you are using Google Docs with. Does citing work there? If it does, what error, if any are you getting in your existing document?
  • Citing worked on the new document. How come I could not edit my old file when I am using the same account? Do you think it has something to do with the document being shared?
  • What error are you seeing now in your existing document? Provide a Report ID from Zotero.

It is not providing me with a report ID when I click report error. But it is prompting "The document citations are being edited by another Zotero user. Please try again later". I think I have the latest version 6.0.30. Also, it is taking a long time before the document updates.
  • You need to click "Next" in the error report dialog.

What happens if you override the lock in the prompt?

Thank you. The report ID is: 1465275425

If I override the lock and I try to add citations, the quick format citation bar is moving but it is not updating the document. I waited for 20 mins and still nothing. So I am closing the programs after that. After I close the programs and open the document and Zotero again, I noticed that the document has now many pages due to the repeated adding of the entire bibliography without me updating them. From 11 pages, my document is now at 160.
  • You should remove the bibliography (and all its duplicates) from the document completely, then attempt to cite in the document again, overriding the lock if required.
  • It is now working when I removed the bibliography. Thank you for your help!
