Library partially synched on new computer
Hi,
I'm using Zotero for my Ph.D. but unfortunately, I am not the most tech-savvy person. I've recently bought a new computer after 10 years of using the same. I did not transfer everything that was on the old computer because I didn't want all the clutter. Instead, I re-downloaded all the software that I still needed and manually copy-pasted the files that I wanted to keep.
When I downloaded Zotero and logged in, I thought it had automatically transferred my entire library. However, I realized later that, because I am using the free version and only have 300MB of storage, it only transferred a small number of PDFs, as I have 3509.9MB worth of books and papers in there.
I would rather not pay for storage if I can avoid it because I would only really need the synch option for a few minutes. I've seen that I can just manually transfer all my Zotero documents. I was wondering if I should just manually replace my entire "Zotero" file on my new computer (or only a subpart of it, like "storage" for example) with the one from my former computer.
Obviously, this library is really important to me and I want to be sure I'm not creating any bugs.
Thank you for your help,
Céline
