End notes are out of numerical sequence

I rearrange some parts of my paper and the end notes moved as well but now my numerical sequencing goes from 2 to 5 and if I add a citation between 2 and 5 it pushes 5 to 6 so I am confused about what to do

    Handling of actual endnote numbering (regardless of whether the endnotes were inserted by Zotero or not) is done by your word processor (Word, I'm guessing) -- you can google issues with endnote/footnote numbering with your word processor and version for possible fixes. Most often this is related to track changes in the document, as far as I know.
