In-text citation sentences

Does anybody know if there is a way to place Zotero citation fields in the main text of Word documents (as opposed to footnotes or endnotes) without cutting and pasting? If this feature does not exist, which forum should I post this on as a possible feature request?
  • Sure. If the style class is "in-text", the strings generated by the "citation" block of the style will be put directly into the main text of the document. That's what happens in the author-date styles. A legal memorandum style is basically the same thing, but with full cites instead of author-date reference tags.
  • Exactly. I didn't realize that there was that "in-text" option, but having checked the CSL syntax page and the Bluebook code, I see where you make that change in the preamble. Will try experimenting with it. Thanks!
  • Works like a charm. I wish I had known about this before. Thanks again.

bdarcus: If you read this and have time, you might consider adding an in-line version of your Bluebook style to the repository. It's an extremely helpful format for practicing lawyers. I would do it myself, but posting a citation style is beyond my current capabilities.
