In this discussion, I would like to share some features that I personally think can contribute to the user-friendliness of Zotero and benefit its users.

Here are some for the starters:

1- Add a dark theme. As much self-explanatory as it is, a dark theme can improve the UI, and help with long hours of reading pdfs!

2- Add more highlight colors, make them editable with varying levels of opacity, and provide the ability to make custom colors.

3- When selecting the bleeding paragraphs (the paragraphs at the very end of a page that bleed into the next page), highlighting the paragraph results in selecting the unwanted footer section, which is annoying. When selecting the text, highlighting should ignore the footer section.
