Upgrade Storageincorrect citation number

I am in the final stage of submitting a manuscript. In one of the discussion sections, Zotero keeps giving citation number 1-5 for 5 references that should be 25-30. I tried refreshing the page, removing the references and inserting them back to the library, but nothing is working. Can anyone help please?
Note: This problem happened when I used trackchanges so that the other co-authors make changes to the manuscript. Not sure if this is the root cause.

adomasvenYou should accept or reject any tracked changes before attempting to work with Zotero as that is likely to create issues. If any one of your collaborators opened the document in a different text editor your citations may have become unlinked.
