change the default search criteria to All fields and Tags

    I am also looking for a way to change the default search criteria to All fields and Tags. I'm not sure I understand the reason it's set only to Title, Creator, Year by default. It feels like a search box shouldn't be filtering by default... It makes more sense to be able to search by DOI, URL, ISSN, whatever.

    Is there a way to change the behavior so All Fields and Tags is the default quick search option?

    The thread you posted to was about advanced search, not the search bar. I've moved this to a new thread.

    But I'm not really sure what you're asking for here. The search bar just remains on whatever mode you used last.
