Zotero in Word changes font of Umlauts when citing

Hi,

I'm having problems with the Zotero/Word plug-in. I'm citing some German authors, and their names have umlauts (ü, ö, etc). The problem is that when citing them in the word document via Zotero plug-in, the font of the umlauts changes from Times New Roman to Calibri, but only the umlauts, not the rest. This happens in the citation and in the bibliography. This does not happen when I copy and paste directly from Zotero, only happens when I use the word plug-in.

Any ideas?

    I tried re-writing the metadata in Zotero and did not change anything

    Due to technical reasons inserting text with special characters is more complicated than one without. For the text with special character Zotero uses the default body style font of the document, so if you have changed the font of the text manually by selecting it all and switching to a different one, Zotero will not pick up on that. You have to change the body style to use your preferred font.
