impossible to add citation in Mac word

for the past 10 month, everything is normal. suddenly in September, I couldn't use Zotero in word anymore. Today I reinstalled both Mac and Zotero, but it keeps saying "Zotero has detected an incomplete or malfunctioning Microsoft Office installation. This is typically caused an incompatibility between Office and Apple's Migration Assistant. To resolve this issue, manually copy the Microsoft Office folder from your previous system, or reinstall Office from the original disc" or another reminder "Zotero could not perform this action. Please ensure that a document is open. If you have performed a custom installation of Office, you may need to run the installer again, ensuring that "Visual Basic for Applications" is selected."

Is there anyone that can help? really need this for my phd thesis...

    I have deleted the word and then reinstalled it. First I download the word from Microsoft website, but it didn't work. Then I tried from the apple store, and it was the same. Did I reinstall it the wrong way?

    I encountered a similar issue, which I managed to resolve by following these steps: Initially, my document was in the Word 97-2004 format (.doc). However, when I saved it as the Word format (.docx), Zotero began working flawlessly once more. I hope this solution proves helpful for you as well.
