Google Docs & Word bibliography inconsistencies

Hi there

I'm having issues with any of the 'Cite them Right' styles within Google Docs (10th, 11th, 12th). I need a space after each entry in the bibliography, just as Zotero does in Word, however, it is bunching my reference list entries together.

See comparison of exactly the same style here (Word on left, Google Docs on the right): https://imageupload.io/T0zwkCmlkvT2LZi

Please can anyone help?
  • I don't know if this is new (or -- though that seems unlikely -- related to the current GDocs issues), but it looks like Google Docs is ignoring all the paragraph spacing instructions in citation styles. I doubt that'll be a super quick fix unless it's u

You can, obviously, just adjust paragraph spacing in GDocs manually at the end of the editing process.
  • Hi Adam.

I think I might have seen this before with other students I train to be honest. I've tried replicating the issue through 2 accounts (both mine and the student I'm training) and still having the same issue. On her Google Doc it was also adding in random DOI links too: https://imageupload.io/qlOa2BBXbR7E1co

Thanks for your prompt response as standard
  • The Google issue is resolved, so you should see if you can still reproduce this. Be sure to test in a new, empty document.
