Option to make standalone note from annotations
I upgraded to Beta 7 and it seems like the option to make a standalone note from underlined text in an article is gone. This is literally one of the most important function for me. Am I missing something and not seeing the option or is the option completely gone?
See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need — what exactly you're trying, what's happening, and what you expected.
Before the Beta 7 version, there was an option instead of making each highlighted text into a note manually (right click > save as note) to actually once you're done highlighting different sections of the text (of an academic article, let's say) to put all the highlighted sections in one note.
That could be done when you go to the Notes panel (on the right, for me): there were two "+" icons. One was "make a note" (or something like that) and the other one was "make a standalone note from text". If you choose that option, you get a new note, containing all the separate highlighted passages of the entire text (e.g., academic article), into one note.
Now, when I go to the Notes panel, that option doesn't exist. There are no "+" icons, I can just see all the notes that I have made from different articles.
So my question: is this something that won't be available in the Zotero 7, or there is another way to do it that I am not aware of it?
Make sure you're actually seeing the whole Zoteor window and disable any 3rd party add-ons you may have installed. If neither of those work, please upload a screenshot that shows the note panel for a PDF opened from My Library to any image hosting site (imgur.com, GDrive, Dropbox) & link to it from here..
