[2088913490] Escape in Username exception as it seems?

I am trying to connect to a college run WebDAV which works fine if mounted as network drive. The user name though has to be domain/username

Which works fine in all other tools but not in Zotero undfortunately.

Any ideas?

Thanks
  • If you're still having this problem, what's the exact error you're getting? Usernames with slashes seem to work OK for me.
  • Hi,
it just tells me that the username and password is not accepted by the server. I am sure it is the right one. This happens when clicking on verify server. I also have the it is not really verifying anymore. It responds really fast.
Username is it the form of: college/username (WebDAV)

If I synchronize I get an exception saying that WebDAV verification has failed with following stack.

[JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "'WebDAV verification failed. Verify your WebDAV settings in the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences.' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]"]

What makes it even more strange is that it worked the first time after that never again.

    Thanks
    Kev
  • Generate debug output for the Verify Server attempt from the Advanced pane of the Zotero prefs, submit it to the server, and post the Debug ID here.
  • Dan,

just wanted to do it and had to find out that it works again?

I'll post the Debug ID if it happens again which I am sure it will.

    Thanks again
    Kev
  • Hi Dan,

  • What do you mean by "crashed again"?
  • Hi,

it verifies now but will not finalize the sync.

sorry for being so vague. The problem is that the errors are not easy to reproduce. I'll keep watching it and come back to you as soon as I have a more consistent picture.

    Kev
