Error when importing a library from another computer

Error ID: 1369086229

I am trying to import a library from a second computer. And it keeps giving me an error and importing an empty collection.

I tried generating the file multiple times, but to no avail.

The file is RDF format, with pdf files attached in the files folder.

While importing should work, if you're just trying to transfer your own library from another computer, you shouldn't be using export/import at all:

  • Thank you for the answer, I took the export/import route since I am trying to get a collection from a coworkers computer.
I will try the method you linked to, by manually copying files.

Oh, well no, if it's from someone else's library, export/import is the way to go.

We'd have to see the RDF file in question to debug this. If you don't mind, you can send that to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread. ZIP the file first if it's large.

An alternative would be their creating a group library, inviting you to it, and dragging the collection to the group library.
  • I dont think there is anything wrong with the file, I tried creating a test collection with one article, which I exported, deleted the collection in zotero and re-imported. It gave me the same error.
It must be an error on my end.
Ill send the test file if it helps.
  • Might be worth trying to reset translators from the advanced tab of the Zotero preferences. Also disable all add-ons for testing.
  • @JankoTuta: Yes, do the things adamsmith suggests, and let us know if you're still having trouble.
