Upgrade StorageHow to write Greek/math symbols (delta, less than equal to, etc.) in bibliography for latex export?
< sub >< /sub >, < sup >< /sup > work fine for subscript, superscript purposes, and they also get translated in latex .bib file that causes no problem at all.
However, some Greek/math symbols (which were as such in the tile) find trouble getting translated into the .bib file and result in error while compiling the latex document. I tried manually writing $\delta$ in the Zotero title, it omits the error in compiling the document but gets there in the bibliography as such - '$\delta$'.
What should I do to make a proper translation.

bwiernikPersonally, I recommend just keeping the proper Greek characters in your title rather than replacing with LaTeX code and using a TeX compiler that can handle unicode characters, like XeTeX or LuaLaTeX

adamsmithyour first question/comment here is moderated, which counts as a 'comment' you didn't miss anything). Agree with the recommendation by bwiernik. BBT does have a setting to leave LaTeX as such in export, but it means your database is only ever going to be useful in BibTeX, which seems like a bad idea even if that's what you expect to be working with.

emilianoeheynsedited September 2, 2023I agree with that, but there are cases where there is no other choice. The only clean solution is math support in Zotero, but I reckon that would be hard to render for citeproc.
