can see the add to note button but it is not clickable

I am facing the same issue. when I am highlighting a pdf and try to right click I can see the add to note button but it is not clickable anymore.

No, that's not the same issue at all. Please
start new threads for new issues
. I've moved this to a new thread.
"Add to Note" is only active when a note is open in the right-hand pane.

Phrasing it as "Add to *Current* Note" might make the operation of this selection clearer.
