Configured Proxies for the website can add literature normally, but these settings are not saved after closing the browser and not when it is opened the next time.
Answer to the first question: I created a new proxy by clicking + in Configured Proxies of zotero connector's proxies, entered the source address/%p in Login URL Scheme option, entered %h/%p in Proxied URL Scheme, and created a new hostnames, entered the corresponding proxy address of %h, and closed the zotero connector configuration. hostnames, enter the corresponding proxy address for %h, and then close the zotero connector configuration, then the original unrecognized journals can be recognized and saved for download to the zotero desktop client. Answer to the second question: I closed the browser and opened the zotero connector proxies configuration again and found that the white box was blank, then I opened the school's vpn access address and found that the original journal address that could be recognized could not be recognized, it turns out that I think the original configuration was not recorded when I closed the browser, how can it be saved? I no longer need to reconfigure the browser the next time I open it?
Is the pref cleared when you reopen the preferences, or only when you restart your browser?
What browser is this? This would suggest that there's a problem with local extension storage in your browser, or that it's being actively cleared by some setting. I'd guess that any other Zotero Connector setting would be reset as well.
Any reason you're not just relying on Zotero doing and adding this automatically? It's a bit hard to follow what you're actually entering without explicit parameters, but it doesn't sound right to me
Preferences are cleared every time I close the browser, so far I only found that this proxy setting is cleared, I'm using Google Chrome, and I've tried it in the edge browser, and the proxy setting is cleared when I close the browser, how can I fix this issue
You've tested with all other add-ons disabled? (And that doesn't really answer my question, I think -- atuomatic proxy addition is the default setting)
You didn't answer my question or adamsmith's. Are they cleared when you reopen the preferences? And why are you entering these manually? The values you're entering certainly sound wrong.
I used the China Knowledge Network to download the literature, this is accessed through the school library's Knowledge Network link, which is not the same as the official website address, and zotero can not be automatically recognized
I think you're just mistaken about them not being removed until a browser restart. I'm pretty sure that you're just entering invalid values, and if you actually close the preferences and reopen them, I think you'll find that the proxy entry is gone. If I manually enter %h/%p into Proxied URL Scheme and close the preferences, the proxy entry is gone when I reopen them. That's not a valid entry, and Zotero clears it to prevent the proxy settings from breaking web browsing.
For EZproxy, the two schemes would generally look like https://ezproxy.school.edu/login?qurl=%u and %h.proxy.school.edu/%p, and you also have to enter at least one hostname. If you're not using EZproxy, you'd have to figure out equivalents for your proxy.
That's not a question we can answer. You'll need to work with your school library to determine the correct settings. The example above is correct for how EZproxy works. If this isn't an EZproxy proxy, they'll have to figure out equivalent settings.
We also can't guarantee that Zotero will work with every non-EZproxy proxy. If someone provides us with technical details of exactly how this proxy works, we might be able to say more, but that would probably have to come from the library staff or the proxy vendor.
