A plug-in to show new additions since x date?

I'm just curious to see if there's a plug-in that would create a report showing all new article items added since x date? For people who have blogs or create regular reports, this might be a really productive, engaging tool. Those interested could follow a member's feed with interesting information and always see what's new in a given library. Does anyone familiar with the plug-ins know if one is currently available?

    You can just use a saved search (or even sort by date added) or what am I missing?

    To wit, in advanced/saved searches there are field choices for Date, Date Added, and Date Modified. They have an option for "In the last 'x' days/months/years".
