Citations not updating

Hi
I am using zotero plug in with word on a mac. I have a large document that has six chapters. In one chapter the citations are not updating but are presented as clickable links although there is no grey field. The other chapters the citations have both the grey fields and are click able. I have tried updating the citations in that one chapter many times but nothing changes. Any ideas what this is?I have not clicked unlink citations ever . Thanks a lot

    Did you edit the document in Google Docs?

    Can you send an excerpt of the broken document to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

    Yeah the link shows a pathway to Google docs when I hover over it but when I click it lands me on an error page

    Is there a way to rectify this without redoing all the citations for this chapter on word manually please ?

    I don't know what you mean by "a pathway to Google docs", but if it takes you to https://www.zotero.org/google-docs/ — which is the Zotero site, not Google Docs — then you edited the document using the Zotero Google Docs plugin and tried to download it directly instead of following the steps to move the document between word processors. This document wouldn't be usable with Zotero anymore — you'd have to go back to the version in Google Docs.

    Ah okay. Thanks a ton. Yeah I have been stupid with this one. Will do it manually.
